WELCOME

Created in memory of our sons, the Ezra & Elias Hope Foundation exists to bring hope, compassion, and support to families in the High Desert and beyond. We are working to provide financial assistance, resources, and a caring community so no one has to navigate pregnancy or infant loss alone.

How We Support Families

1

Burial and Cremation Assistance

We’re working to support families with burial or cremation costs, offering relief during an incredibly difficult time.

2

Resources and Guidance

We’re building a collection of grief resources and supportive tools to help families navigate pregnancy and infant loss with clarity and compassion.

3

Community Support & Connection

We’re creating support circles and community spaces where families can connect and feel understood, so no one has to face pregnancy or infant loss alone.

Why Our Work Matters

The High Desert faces some of the highest risks for mothers and babies in California. Our mission is to bring compassion, connection, dignity, and hope to the families who need it most.

High Infant Mortality

In the High Desert, 6.6 out of 1,000 babies don’t survive - one of the highest rates in the county. Many families face higher risks simply because care is too far away.

Maternity Care Desert

Large parts of the High Desert are a maternity care desert. Families often travel long distances for basic care, and delays can put mothers and babies at risk.

Rising Maternal Complications

San Bernardino County sees about 124 severe maternal complications per 10,000 births, higher than many parts of California. In the High Desert, limited resources and delayed care make those risks even greater.
